St Matthew's Collegiate - Pastoral Care

Led by Deputy Principal, Julie Holdsworth, pastoral care at St Matthew's is provided by a strong network of trained, experienced staff.  They are available to guide, support and encourage girls who face life challenges – large or small, including peer pressure, grief, substance abuse, parent-teen communication, accident or death.

Form teachers and deans take initial responsibility for pastoral care of girls and their families.  A trained guidance counsellor andthe Chaplain are available to give moral and spiritual support in times of hardship or crises and on an on-going basis.

This support is available to all girls, right through to Senior College. Our team works closely with the Rathkeale College Chaplain and Guidance Counsellor.
