The Board of Trustees is charged with governance of the St Matthew's Collegiate School and is constituted from four representatives of the Trinity Schools Trust Board, the Proprietors, and five members of the College's larger community and who are elected by parents / caregivers for a three-year term. As well, the board has two school-based representatives, one representing staff and one the student body. The Principal is an ex-officio member of the Board.
